The main issue with Momentum is the lack of a user-friendly search box, as well as the absence of a similar feature. As a programmer who spends hours using Chrome, having to go through a three-click process multiple times a day to open and search for something can be a frustrating experience.
Thank you for submitting your feedback Alireza!
So, we have a couple web search options in Momentum:
Search + most visited below the clock on the dashboard: To enable, go to Settings → General → Enable “Below the Center” → Search & Links. This gives you a search box and your most visited sites, similar to the default Chrome tab. Web search click count: one, then type and hit enter to search.
Web search app in the top left: To enable, go to Settings → General → Enable “Search”. When you click the Search app on the dash, it will pop up a web search with the input focused. Web search click count: one, then type and hit enter to search.
Also as a note, you can search in the omnibar in Chrome by hitting Cmd/Ctrl + L on your keyboard.
Another note, there was a bug where the Search app wasn’t focusing the input when it opened, so that was a pain, but that has since been fixed. :)
