I know it’s not a conspiracy. I know you don’t really hate money from old people. I’m not sure why you think we should keep paying you to strain our eyes… I mean, to what end? What are you thinking? The only part of momentum I’m here for is the countdown thing… I’m old, I’m forgetful, it’s the only way I can keep up…. but I literally had to buy a magnifying glass to use Momentum… please help me understand how this serves my purpose as a user or yours as the seller who is here, I assume to make money. I have to tolerate it. You won’t change it. But if you could explain how that serves anyone… does it make you more money? HOW? It’s like your position is, “if you old people would just get off the internet and get out of our way… that would be lovely.” I gotta hand it to ya for the encouragement. i hate everyone who forces tiny fonts on me. Life is hard enough. Why be cruel to old people? I sincerely don’t get it.

Suggestions:

  1. Add a Simple Font Size Slider
Let users drag a slider to adjust the countdown font size instead of being stuck with a default.
Even offering Small, Medium, and Large presets would be better than nothing.
  2. Implement a Custom Font Size Input
Allow users to enter a specific font size (e.g., 12px, 16px, 24px, etc.) in settings.
This would take zero design effort and let everyone choose what works for them.
  3. Offer a “Large Text Mode” for Accessibility
A toggle switch for a “Large Text Mode” that automatically scales the countdown font for better visibility.
Bonus points if it adjusts based on screen size and distance (for those using big external monitors).

Many years ago I put every spare minute into building lollie dot com which now only exists on google’s way back machine…. so it is definitely NOT that I believe for a second that making readable font sizes available is hard to do… I know better. I’m old, I’ve forgotten more than most people will ever learn. But I never made old people suffer tiny fonts. What were you thinking? It wakes me up at night wondering.

Lollie, love this and agree - I just filed a suggestion to get rid of the blurring effect they added in 2024, and I am in the “reading glasses” demographic. I feel like the blurring is a change that doesn’t serve anybody but is particularly frustrating for older eyes. Upvoting your suggestion!
